The M-Net Sports Conference is a public forum found on M-Net's conferencing system. M-Net is America's oldest public access UNIX system, operating since 1983 and currently run by Arbornet, a 501(c)3 non-profit charitable organization based in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Several members of the M-Net Sports Conference have been participating regularly since the mid 80s, including "ric" "jep" and "furs".
We talk vigorously about baseball - mostly about the Tigers - during the baseball season and during spring training. We're also big followers of college football and basketball. Join our annual score picking contest for big ten football, or get your brackets ready for our NCAA tournament pool!
The M-Net Sports Conference can be access the old fashioned way, via telnet (telnet:m-net.arbornet.org, or via the Backtalk web conferencing interface (https://backtalk.arbornet.org). In either case you must create an account first.
The arbornet web site contains instructions for creating an account using the newuser program at the bottom of this page.
